            The fonds consists of the records of the Advisory Council on Women's Issues. The files include correspondence, reports, speeches, news releases, statistics, legislation, background research materials, and subject files pertaining to women's health, human rights, immigration, child care, legal issues, divorce, liaison activities with federal and provincial departments as well as other stakeholders, pornography, employment equity, abortion, and aging.

            The fonds consists of the records created and received by Neil Webber as Minister of Social Services and Community Health, including records from his predecessor Bob Bogle that Webber received upon taking office. The records include correspondence, action requests, and reports pertaining to social services programs and issues within the department, including abortion, Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), adoptions, widows pensions, and other subjects.

            The records also include child welfare agreements correspondence; a Tri-partite agreement between the Federal Gov., Gov of Manitoba, and the Four Nations Confederacy; a Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council proposal; files from the Métis Association on disability pension and client needs; files on building the Riel Centre in Lloydminster; and counselling Service Wage parity records.

            The series consists of records related to the analysis of women's issues to provide input into government policy as well as develop public awareness through outreach and public awareness activities.

            The records include correspondence, minutes of meetings, briefs and reports, research materials, acts and legislation, publications created by the business unit, newsletters, and subject files pertaining to the status of women generally, employment and pay equity, divorce, education, health concerns including pregnancy and adoption decisions, concerns of rural and Indigenous women, aging, pensions, and other related issues. The series also includes files pertaining to liaison activities with the Alberta Advisory Council on Women's Issues as well as other stakeholder organizations.

            The series also includes administrative records related to the operations of the business unit as well as files related to mentorship and scholarship programs.
