The fonds consists of the records of the Board of Inquiry into the West Edmonton Mall Roller Coaster Accident pertaining to its investigations into the circumstances surrounding the derailment of the Mindbender roller coaster on June 14, 1986. The files include transcripts of testimony as well as exhibits.

The exhibits include the establishing order in council, newspaper clippings, photographs, inspection and investigation reports, correspondence, copies of relevant legislation and safety codes, blueprints and diagrams, witness statements, maintenance logs, operator manuals, engineering analysis of roller coaster parts, and other related records.
