The fonds consists of aerial views of downtown, residential and industrial areas of Edmonton, and includes images by Ranson Photographers Limited and Richard G. Proctor Photography Limited. The fonds also includes a map of City Land Use in 1965 and a Land Use Plan projected for 1981.

The fonds consists of primarily of aerial images of Edmonton taken by D'Arcy McLeod (with two taken by the United States Air Force), and includes images of the construction of the Hudson's Bay Company building on Jasper Avenue, the Macdonald Hotel, the Legislative buildings, other Edmonton buildings, the river valley, airplanes and a Victory in Europe (V.E.) Day parade.

Elliott's career as a pilot in the RCAF and includes four annotated photograph albums containing approximately 550 photographs which depict RCAF camps, including Camp Borden, Ontario and Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba, pilots and other RCAF employees, planes, cockpits, machinery shops, hangars, parachuters, cars, buildings, a winter ambulance, pontoon planes and various plane crashes. Fonds also contains some farming scenes and aerial photographs of various places across Canada, including Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta, the Rocky Mountains, Ottawa, Niagra Falls, Toronto and Barrie, Ontario, and British Columbia, as well as aerial views of forest fires.

The fonds consists of the personal records documenting the history of the Hetty and John David Wear Family including photographs of family members dating from ca. 1880 to 1949; films featuring footage of Hetty and John David Wear's marriage in Holland in 1945 as well as numerous family events held in Edmonton dating from the 1930s to the 1980s; aerial footage John David Wear shot while traveling by airplane through Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories during World War II; plans documenting the location of the Hetty and John David Wear Family home in Edmonton, Alberta; and World War II Memorabilia documenting John David Wear's service in World War II including correspondence, newspaper clippings, and a map for Canadian Soldiers Stationed in Holland During World War II. The fonds also includes World War II Memorabilia collected by Mary Parsons including ration tokens, books, and newspaper clippings; material documenting Sidney Parsons career in construction in Edmonton, Alberta including contracts and plans dating from 1953; and a piece of artwork created by John Herbert Wear to commemorate the last broadcast of George V in 1935.

The fonds consists of postcards of aerial views of Edmonton including the Legislative buildings, the North Saskatchewan River, the Hotel Macdonald, the Municipal Airport, Jasper Avenue, the University of Alberta, various hospitals and buildings, sports fields, an oil refinery, and Leduc.

The fonds consists of the records of Ranson Photographers Limited and includes correspondence, receipts, promotional material, model release forms, price schedules, film proposals, foreign money, Ranson Photographers decals, a film catalogue, a cashbook, awards and certificates, photographs, negatives, slides, and numerous films elements (soundtracks, work prints, outtakes, raw footage, video, release prints) for documentary films produced by Ranson Photographers on a variety of subjects including tourism, the oil industry, and the airline industry, along with some miscellaneous footage.

The fonds consists of 67 glass plate slides used for military education. Subjects include gunnery, engines, bombing, aerial photography, navigation, aviation, transport, and engine maintenance dating from 1915-1918. The fonds also contains images of World War I airplanes dating from 1917 – 1918.

The fonds consists of 61,000 black and white and colour aerial photographic negatives and 5 flight index maps. Photographed by Weldwood of Canada Ltd., these negatives indicate Weldwood's Forestry Management Area around Hinton, taken 1955-1981. The flight index maps direct the researcher to a specific negative.
