    Anne Ida Wight was born in Kanwaka, Kansas, USA in 1860. She taught music in Lawrence, Kansas during the early 1900s. In 1913, she vacationed through the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

    She died in Kansas in 1928.

    In 2001, Kurt Von Achen of Eudora, Kansas donated several albums created by Anne Wight to the Watkins Community Museum of History in Lawrence, Kansas.

    Portée et contenu

    The fonds consists of an album of photographs taken by Anne Wight in 1913 during a vacation through the Rocky Mountains from July 19 to September 17. The album features the scenery of Banff, Alberta, and Glacier, BC. H.S. Foster, a Lawrence, Kansas, railway clerk developed the prints.

    In 2001, the Watkins Community Museum of History donated the album featuring the Rocky Mountains to the Provincial Archives of Alberta after the museum determined that the album did not fit their acquisition mandate.
