    Beta Chapter was one of the first two chapters of Beta Sigma Phi established in Edmonton, Alberta. The Beta Chapter, number 1115, and Gamma Chapter, number 1116, were established in 1938. Miss Olive Thom was Beta Chapter's first president.

    The sous-fonds consists of records of Beta Chapter, and includes minutes, attendance records, reports, membership lists, financial statements, and scrapbooks, documenting the activities of the Chapter, which contain newspaper clippings, invitations, cards, programs, and other ephemera along with over 350 photographs of members and Chapter events.
