    Administrative history

The Calgary Associate Clinic was founded in 1922 by five doctors: D.S. McNab, D.A. Lincoln, J.S. Murray and G.D. Stanley, and A.E. Aikenhead.

In 1936 Dr. Earle Parkhill Scarlett, a physician at the Calgary Associate Clinic, proposed that the Clinic publish an historical journal, and the Calgary Associate Clinic Historical Bulletin (CACHB) was formed. Dr. Scarlett was the first and only editor of the CACHB, which was the first journal exclusively devoted to medical history to be published in Canada.

The CACHB appeared quarterly until 1958 and was distributed free to any physician or library requesting it.
