    Biographical history

    Born in 1922, Claude A. May spent his childhood in Cardston, Alberta. He attended Western Canada High School in Calgary. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force at Dartmouth and Sydney, Nova Scotia. He later attended the University of Alberta.

    He lived in Lodgepole, Alberta in the 1950s and 1960s. While living in Lodgepole, he published the local newspaper the Log. Established as a town in 1956, Lodgepole became a hamlet in 1970. He later lived in Tofield and Seba Beach.

    He married Hazel Nielson in 1942 but they divorced in 1948. He then married Ivy May. He died in 2009.

    The fonds consists of copies of the Log dating from 1959 to 1960.
