The fonds consists of images mostly relating to Kropinak’s General Store, originally dating 1927 to 1972, and includes images of a parade in Coleman (1927), women in costume, a store, a store and employees and the Kropinak’s General Store truck.

Fonds consists of the business records of Hillcrest-Mohawk Collieries Limited and includes accident/injury reports, bills of lading, coal operators’ monthly statements, correspondence, cost sheets, customer accounts, employee registers and accounts, employment applications, equipment catalogues/advertising flyers, equipment inventories, financial records, invoices, leases, memorandum, mine inspection reports, payroll records, permits, purchasing receipts, receipts, rental accounts, sales contracts, sample analysis reports, shift and wage cards, shipping manifests, telegrams, tenders, time sheets, wage agreements, war savings certificates deduction sheets, and maps depicting a portion of the mining properties of the Hillcrest-Mohawk Collieries and a horizontal projection of Mohawk Bituminous Mines. The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Mine Operations; Employees and Employee Relations; Payroll and Accounting; Correspondence; Hillcrest-Mohawk Realties; and Southern Trucking Company.

The fonds consists of records dating 1910-1972 and includes written transcripts of oral interviews, an oral interview with Orestes Serra, financial records and other records for a number of businesses and associations in the Bellevue-Blairmore area in Alberta, pamphlets and publications, a short history of Bellevue, Alberta and photographs of various towns in Alberta including Lethbridge, Calgary, Edmonton, Blairmore, Canmore, and Crow’s Nest Pass.

The collection consists of photographs depicting the Frank Slide and other locations in the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta, including Blairmore and Coleman, though the Frank Slide is the primary subject of the photos. The photos were most likely taken between 1906, when a preliminary road was built through the Slide, and 1922, when a more permanent road was built through the site. The photos depict the Frank Slide in the immediate years after the catastrophe with particular emphasis on the gravel road through the area.
