              The collection consists of photographs depicting the Frank Slide and other locations in the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta, including Blairmore and Coleman, though the Frank Slide is the primary subject of the photos. The photos were most likely taken between 1906, when a preliminary road was built through the Slide, and 1922, when a more permanent road was built through the site. The photos depict the Frank Slide in the immediate years after the catastrophe with particular emphasis on the gravel road through the area.
