    Biographical history

John Dale was born in 1885. John came to Alberta with the Robert Wellington Miller family around 1904.

He homesteaded the southwest quarter of section 34, Township 50, Range 1, West of the 4th Meridian (34-50-1-W4), near Kitscoty, Alberta. In 1906 he married R.W. Miller’s daughter, Alberta Madge Miller (1882-1957).

John later operated a hardware store in Kitscoty. John and Alberta had two sons, John Clapham (1909-1981) and Merne Miller (1916-1976), and a daughter, Lilly Augusta (Gussie) (Walker) (1911-1991).

Alberta died in 1957, and John died June 7, 1969.
