          The fonds consists of executive committee minutes, provincial convention files and programs, newsletters, annual reports, financial statements, membership directories, correspondence, annual general meeting minutes, and event calendars created by the ASRDF. There is also a VHS cassette depicting a provincial convention proceedings.

          There are also records from regional organizations subordinate to the ASRDF including the Southern Alberta Western Dance Association, the Alberta Square Dance Institute, the Central Alberta Square and Round Dance Association, the Calgary and District Square and Round Dance Association, and the Edmonton and District Square and Round Dance Association. In addition, there are national convention files and programs from the Canadian Square and Round Dance Federation.

          Along with these regional and provincial records, there are also records from individual clubs from across the province including the Peace Hill Hoppers Square Dance Club, the Innisfail Guys and Gals Square Dance Club, the Bigstone Prairie Promenaders, the Gadabouts, the Rocky Whirlaways, the Red Deer Square Dancing Club, the Heartland Hoedowners, and the Southminster Square and Round Dance Club. These records include newsletters, photo albums, scrapbooks, correspondence, and local histories.

          Audrey Boyce fonds

          The fonds consists of material related to Audrey Boyce’s participation in various square dance organizations, most notably the Soellingen Swingers, which was a square dance club based in CFB Baden-Soellingen, West Germany. The club was composed of members of the Canadian Forces and their partners and performed dances for German and NATO armed forces audiences, as well as participating in square dance events with similar clubs from other NATO installations. Records include a scrapbook of photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia related to the Soellingen Swingers and similar material related to square dancing in Alberta, including photographs of square dance conventions and events. The audio discs are 7-inch, 45rpm singles of songs played at square dance events.

          The fonds consists of membership lists for the entire span of the group, newsletters, meeting minutes, registers of dance participants, financial statements, posters, flyers, correspondence, histories, and call sheets.

          The newsletters include Buttons and Bows publications as well as publications from the Edmonton District Square Dance Association, the Alberta Square Dance Institute, the Alberta Square and Round Dance Federation, and the Canadian Square Dance Association. There is also correspondence from several of these organizations as well as from other clubs.

          The histories were compiled by club members for various club anniversaries and consist of oral histories, recollections, and compendia of articles about club activities.

          The photos are in albums arranged chronologically with all of the subjects meticulously identified. The badges were collected by club members from various dance that they attended, sister clubs, dance associations, and special events. The badges are arranged in polyethylene sleeves.

          The fonds consists of EDSDA bylaws and founding documents, correspondence, committee and annual reports, financial statements, executive minutes, reports, dance directories, dance manuals, and meeting minutes. There are also photo albums documenting various dances and events, including the 40th anniversary of the EDSDA in 1993, a 1954 Edmonton square dance, district dances, member portraits, and some albums devoted to specific square dance clubs, including the Linseeds Square Dance Club and the Parkallen Buttons and Bows.

          There are also club histories and records related to other clubs from across the region, including the Kensington Strollers, the Golden Slippers Square Dance Club, the Athabasca Whispering Hill Squares, the Seba Swingers Club, the Alberta Rhythm Cloggers, Red’s Rounders Dance Club, the Leduc Happy Homesteaders Square Dance Club, the Swinging Lamplighters, the 2x4s, the Saints and Sinners, the Swinging Stars, the Edmonton Singles Square Dance Club, the Dance-A-Lots, the Promenaders, and the Double Diamonds.

          The fonds consists of records that were created and maintained by Gerald S. Anderson which document his careers, interests and hobbies, covering the period of the late 1890’s to 1999. The photographs and negatives cover his travels through Canada, the United States and Europe as well as the Anderson family and Gerald's army training unit.
