    Administrative history

    The Dewberry Boys' Band was organized in 1952, under the leadership of Waldemar Protsch. The Band played at local fairs and picnics; these included playing for Vermilion and Lloydminster fairs, the Greenlawn Old-Timers' picnic, the opening of Vermilion Park, and even the Edmonton Exhibition Parade. The band disbanded in 1958.

    Elsie Jones, the wife of Neal Jones, deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1997. Neal Jones was for a time the secretary for the Dewberry Boys' Band.
