              The fonds consists of slides depicting land surveyors and engineers; work camps and sites; transportation through rugged territory (including trucks, heavy duty machinery, and boats); leisure activities undertaken by the surveyors (such as fishing); and work activities such as digging and actual surveying. The slides were taken in several Albertan locations, including Big Stone Creek, Edson Trail, Smoky River, Rimby, Drayton Valley, Pembina, Peace River, Robb, Drumheller, and Anzac.

              The fonds consists of advertising bills for the Birtle’s traveling picture show; new motion pictures, chosen by Elsie, arrived weekly from Sovereign Films and were shown in a circuit from Piers and/or Drayton Valley on Saturday nights, then Wildwood, Seba Beach, Carrot Creek, Tomahawk, Magnolia, Gainford and Evansburg or Entwistle. The screenings were held in the local halls and were usually followed by a dance (except on Sundays).

              The fonds consists of yearbooks from: the Vermilion School of Agriculture, Killam Division Central High School, Mundare High School, Frank Maddock High School (Drayton Valley), and Devon High School; a newspaper clipping about the Vermilion School of Agriculture; and photographs of Kenneth’s graduating class at the Vermilion School of Agriculture and one photo of swans.

              Fonds consists of records pertaining to Combs life and interests, as well as some of his uncle’s records including photographs of family, paddle steamers and aspects of World War II. Fonds also includes a taped interview with Walter Leslie, captain of the Second Strathcona and first mate of the City of Edmonton paddle steamers.

              The collection consists of photographs, some original and some copies, of subjects from the Drayton Valley area. The original images were taken by Loosmore of sites in Drayton Valley and beyond in the 1980s and 1990s while the copies are negatives taken of original photographs that pre-date the originals, ranging from the early 20th century to the 1960s. These images were borrowed from their owners by Loosmore for use in his book, To Trail’s End: Early Settlement in Drayton Valley.

              The fonds consists of photographs and textual records from the Wespinski / Wispinski family. The photographs depict members of the family; farms and houses in Drayton Valley; an oil well in Hanna, Alberta; and a wedding portrait of John and Edna Wespinski.

              The textual records consist of four orders from the Board of Industrial Relations amending the Alberta Labour Act of 1947, all printed by the King’s Printer in Edmonton in 1949 and meant to be posted for employees to see and read. The records include a copy of Female Minimum Wage Order No. 2; Holidays with Pay Order No. 5; Lumbering Industry, Order No. 12; and Minimum Wage Order No. 13. They were used at the lumber mill near Breton, Alberta which was operated by Lil Wispinski's father from 1947-1951.
