    Administrative history

In 1880, owners Alexander Taylor and Frank Oliver published Alberta's first newspaper The Bulletin. In 1881, The Bulletin became the Edmonton Bulletin. In 1881, Alexander Dunlop assumed Alexander Taylor's position at the paper. In 1884, Frank Oliver became the sole owner, with his company, Bulletin Publishing Co., managing the publication from 1898 to 1923.

The Bulletin provided daily and evening publications until 1925 when The Bulletin became an evening paper only. In October 1925, Charles E. Campbell purchased the paper and the Alberta Free Press Ltd. continued publishing the paper. In 1948, Edmonton Bulletin Ltd. purchased the paper.

In 1951, the paper ceased publication.
