    Biographical history

    Born in 1883, Ernest William Haselwood was the son of Alfred and Kate Haselwood of Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Ernest owned and operated a flour mill at Bittern Lake, Alberta. He also farmed and raised livestock in the Municipal District of Montgomery.

    He died in 1968.

    Custodial history

    The Camrose and District Museum Society deposited the papers of Ernest W. Haselwood at the Provincial Archives of Alberta on permanent loan in 1971. Tom Haselwood, Ernest Haselwood’s nephew, later signed over the deposit as a gift to the Archives in 2001.

    Scope and content

    Fonds consists of business records pertaining to the operation of the flour mill at Bittern Lake as well as some personal correspondence.
