    Biographical history

    Born in Teewater, Ontario in 1894, Ethel Field taught school there until she came to Edmonton in 1914. She taught at Beverly, North Edmonton and Highlands schools for thirty years.

    She was also a portrait artist exhibited locally from the 1920s onwards. She died in Edmonton in 1975.

    Fonds consists of colour pastel portraits of various individuals created to record the history of the Province of Alberta.
