The fonds consists of the records of Milt Pahl created and received during his tenure as the Minister without Portfolio with responsibility for Indigenous matters, including records created by his predecessors Bob Bogle and Donald McCrimmon received by Pahl when he took office.

The files include correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings, subject files and other records related to liaison activities with Alberta First Nation communities and organizations, oil and gas revenues, child welfare, education, housing, the Slave River hydro project, and grant proposals and applications.

The fonds consists of records created and received by Bob Bogle during his terms as an MLA and provincial cabinet minister. The fonds is divided into the following series:

• Minister without Portfolio records; including some records of his predecessors Ira McLaughlin, Adolph Fimrite and Al Adair that Bogle received upon taking office; and

• Minister of Social Services and Community Health records, including records of his predecessors Helen Hunley as well as Neil Crawford as Minister of Health and Social Development that Bogle received upon taking office.
