The collection consists of records pertaining the Edson Kinsmen Centennial Trail Ride including images documenting the journey, research materials related to the journey, correspondence, reports, publications recounting the journey dating from 1966 - 1967 as well as original photographs from a journey on the Edson Grande Prairie Trail dating from 1912; materials related to the centennial celebration commemorating bush pilots including clippings from The Edmonton Journal, and photographs capturing the celebration dating from 1967; and materials pertaining to the Athabasca to Edmonton trail ride dating from 1966 including Wes Mattie's notebook, a typed log of the trip, newspaper clippings, and images from the journey.

There are also 21 slides of Nordegg, Alberta taken in 1964.

Fonds consists of correspondence relating to Norman Willmore’s work as a Cabinet minister, a stamped personal copy of the rules and proceedings of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, notes for speeches, transcripts of speeches and television appearances, programs for various events, schedule of speaking engagements, map of Alberta produced by the Department of Lands and Forests, a tribute to Normal Willmore delivered at his funeral by Hon. E.C. Manning, photographs, and a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings of Willmore’s achievements from 1944 until 1965.

The fonds consists of records related to the life and career of Charles W. Cross. The photographs depict Charles W. Cross and the Cross house in Edmonton, Alberta. The textual records were created and received by Charles W. Cross during his tenure as Attorney General of Alberta and include correspondence, reports and other records related to legislation, prisoners, lawyers and the legal profession, railways, vital statistics, doctors and the medical profession, timber, hunting, liquor, and personal matters such as his letter of resignation and last will and testament.

This collection includes a variety of maps of Canada and North America, and includes maps of North America (1847) with the Alaskan panhandle touching Russia, North America (1861) with details from the Franklin Expedition, and the Prairie Provinces (1875) with limits of the “Prairie Land” and “True Forest,” (PR1982.0079).

The collection also includes a map of Edinburg and London (1908) (accession PR1982.0152). PR1983.0139 includes four maps from between 1782 and 1925 and PR1984.0229 includes six maps from between 1776 and 1882, focusing on British Columbia, North America, and the Franklin Expedition. PR1985.0383 holds maps from between 1779 and 1912, with maps of the world, North America, and Edson, Alberta.

The fonds consists of images of scenes in Alberta acquired by Ian Paterson including Big Island on the North Saskatchewan in 1926, Athabasca Landing Ferry in 1926, the Peace River Highway in 1931, a ferry on the North Saskatchewan River at Strawberry Creek in 1931, the Town of Athabasca in 1932, the Ghost River Dam in 1938, and the Calgary-Edmonton Highway near Bowden in 1938.

The fonds also contains copies of photographic postcards acquired by Ian Paterson dating from the early part of the 20th century. The postcards feature images of Alberta including the Red Deer River Crossing of the Canadian National Railways (CNR) at Drumheller, the Hanna CNR station, the Athabasca River Bridge, the Beaver Bridge at Bonnyville, "Big Eddy", "Steveville", the CNR Station at Alliance, the St. Albert Hotel, Saunders Creek, a pack train at Edson, a bridge at Wabamun, the CNR depot at Jasper, the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) at Lethbridge, the Athabasca River bridge, the Brazeau Collieries at Nordegg, and the Town of Wayne.

The collection consists of copies of photographs dating from the 1870s to the 1910s in Alberta from the City of Edmonton Archives and includes images featuring Fort Saskatchewan, a log cabin, teepees near Fort Carlton, coal mining in Edmonton, the first jail in Calgary, Calgary's first City Hall, Calgary's first Land Titles Office, D. Ricker's lumber camps at Poplar Creek, and Main Street in Tofield. There are also photographs of churches in Edson and views of Fort McMurray.

Puff, Secretary of the Edson Local UFA from D.M. Kennedy, Member of Parliament for West Edmonton regarding the re-opening of the Edson Sub-Agency Dominion Lands dated May 23rd 1922, and a letter from the Minister of the Interior, Charles Stewart to D.M. Kennedy informing him that the Edson Sub-Agency would not open, dated May 12, 1922.
