The series consists of the records of the Deputy Minister of Advanced Education and Career Development including those of its predecessors, the Deputy Minister of Advanced Education (1971-1975 and 1983-1992), the Deputy Minister of Advanced Education and Manpower (1975-1983), the Deputy Minister of Manpower (1983-1986), and the Deputy Minister of Career Development and Employment (1986-1992).
The files include correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings, and other records related to the Council of Minister of Education and other federal issues; case files related to the province's universities and colleges; federal and provincial manpower planning; employment programs; the Ministry's Indigenous advisory committee; and liaison files with business units within the Ministry.
