    Biographical history

    John "Jack" Glen was born in Rutherglen, Scotland in 1891. He was serving with the Royal Northwest Mounted Police in Regina, Saskatchewan at the time he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in 1918. After the war, he became a forest ranger in Entrance, Alberta. After working as a ranger, he moved to Terrace, British Columbia.

    He married Millicent Craig (1889-1974) in Edmonton in 1929, and together they had a child, John James (1931-2007). He passed away in Terrace in 1983.

    The fonds consists of a microfilm copy of a publication by Jack Glen entitled Mountain Tales . Mountain Tales discusses Jack Glen's life as a forest ranger in Alberta.
