The fonds consists of executive minutes, correspondence, bylaws, and a club history created by the Alberta Federation of Rock Clubs between 1963 and 2002. The executive minutes cover the period between 1963-1972 and 2002.

The collection consists of images of dating from about 1903 to about 1930 from the Lloydminster, Saskatchewan area relating to Barr colonists, and includes images of a variety of buildings including the school, train station, bank, post office, and hospital, automobiles, houses, log cabins, tents, ploughing, haying, horse and cart, a musical band and a soccer team. The fonds includes a number of images relating to the Tebbs, Booth, Topott, Hall, Wright, Grey, Fisher, Jones, Sutton, and Cripps families and to Rev. Trench.

This collection contains a broad scope of published maps, mainly depicting Canada, Alberta, and smaller-scale maps within Alberta. Some examples of the areas depicted on larger-scale maps include Alberta communities of Paradise Valley, Grizzly Bear Creek, Lloyminster, Delacour, Trochu, Cluny, Bearspaw, Lac La Biche, Kananaskis Lake, Weberville, Grande Prairie, Brazeau Lake, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Wainwright.

The maps come from a variety of original sources and served a wide range of original purposes. Most were created by the federal National Topographic Survey, many more are general topographical maps, and some were produced for the National Atlas of Canada, among other purposes.

The fonds consists of images, originally dating 1907 to 1941, of the 1939 Royal Visit, the unveiling of the cairn at Frog Lake, and other images from Kitscoty including store exteriors and interiors, banks, streets, horses, wagons, bison, automobiles, snow banks, hockey teams, tents, fishing, children, swimming as well as R.W. Miller’s store in Lloydminster, the Olds Agricultural School, Sylvan Lake, picnics at Lake Laurier, boats, boating and a cabin at Cold Lake.

The fonds consists of a 60th Anniversary program celebrating the Barr Colonists Trek to Battleford and Lloydminster in 1903 created by the Fort Battleford National Historic Park in 1963.

Fonds consists of the business records of Golden Valley Mutual Telephone Company including minutes, correspondence, maps, and financial records.

The fonds includes three manuscript diaries kept by Harry L. Hollingworth, two diaries about the journey to the Lloydminster, Alberta area and the first year there, and one diary of subsequent years after they were more settled, which also includes some accounting information.

The fonds consists of materials from Henry Clifford Messum's scrapbook regarding the Barr Colony including a program from the Barr Colonists Golden Jubilee, and newspaper clippings from The Lloydminster Times from 1905 and 1955.

The fonds consists of images of various Lloydminster hockey teams, including the Lloydminster hockey team (1913), the Lloydminster Tigers (1922-1923), the Lloydminster Jets (1953-1954), the Lloydminster Border Kings (1966-1967), and the Lloydminster Border Blazers (1976).

The fonds consists of thirteen letters from John William Hope to his wife, “Louie,” 10 April – 2 August 1903. The letters detail his journey from Britain to Barr Colony, and his struggle to find work in Western Canada. The fonds also includes British Colony and Dominion Lands Branch receipts for homestead land, 30 January and 2 July 1903.

Fonds consists of the personal records of Lindsay Evans, which reflect his community activities and interests, and includes electoral lists for Earlie, Alberta, an instruction booklet for franchise officers, Alberta Wheat Pool member and delegate nomination lists, and a financial statement for Lloydminster United Municipal Hospital.

Fonds consists of instructions for building model trains and photographs of completed models.

Fonds consists of a manuscript by Madge Strong about her experiences in Edmonton and Lloydminster between 1901 and 1908, as well as several photographs depicting scenes around Edmonton and Lloydminster.

The fonds also includes images of rancher and juniper root carver Wilf Hodgson (Wilfred Garstang-Hodgson), of Dorothy, Alberta.

The fonds consists of a transcript, typed by Esther Perry, of Stanley Rackham's diary for the years 1903- 1910. The diary describes his life on his homestead.

Fonds consists of records pertaining to Cooke’s personal and business life, as well as records relating to the Barr colonists’ expedition, including photographs, correspondence and newspaper clippings.
