    Biographical history

    Marlene Jerred was the daughter of James and Mae Wilson. Her father worked for the Royal North West Mounted Police in southern Alberta. She later married Lynn Jerred and became involved in local dance and ballet organizations.

    Marlene lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and in 1983 was the manager of McCulloch's Costume and Dancewear Centre, which she and her husband had established in 1973.

    The fonds consists of photographic postcards, photographs and postcards from Okotoks, Lethbridge, Millarville, Saddle Lake, Fort Chipewyan, Athabasca Landing, Fort Smith and Fort McMurray of buildings, churches, missions, barn building, residents, dog teams, horses, houses, boats and canoes, rivers, horse races, and some of the Calgary Stampede.

    Mrs. M. Jerred deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1984. The records belonged to her father.
