Biographical history
Nancy Knysh was born in 1913, the daughter of Wasyl "William" Knysh (1888-1975) and Teklia "Tillie" Knysh (1895-1966). The family lived in Wostok, Alberta.
She married John Semaniuk (1913-1972), and together they had three children: Sylvia (Pacholek), Ernest (1942-1992), and Marion. She died in Lamont, Alberta in 1987.
Custodial history
Nancy Semaniuk allowed the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village to copy the material.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of material documenting Nancy Semaniuk's life including copied images dating from the 1930s featuring a parade on the occasion of a visit of the Greek Catholic Bishop to Wostok; a procession of St. Mary's Russo Greek Orthodox Church in Shandro, Alberta; Nancy and an unidentified friend; Nancy; Nancy's family, and the Wostok Hardware Store.
