    Biographical history

    Phyllis Collins was born in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan in 1907, the daughter of George Henry (1869-1942) and Annie Collins (1875-1939). She married William H. Flewwelling (1912-1959) of MIrror, Alberta in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1935. Together they had two children: Lynne and Louise (Logan). They later moved to Edmonton, where William worked for funeral homes and, later, for real estate agencies as well as the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

    After her husband's death, she worked for the Edmonton Public School Board, and was a teacher at McCauley Junior High School.

    She died in Edmonton in 1996.

    The fonds consists of two images of the Métis cemetery at Tail Creek, Alberta.

    Immediate source of acquisition

    Mrs. P. Flewwelling allowed the records to be copied by the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1986. The originals were returned to her.
