Biographical history

Cindy Laflèche worked as a government employee for eleven years before creating a records management consulting company in 1986 with Joanne Holme. Their company was called Safron Consulting Ltd. and they offered consulting and training services, such as to the Provincial Archives of Alberta and on FOIP impacts. Together they also cooperated with David Leonard in offering Records Management courses at the University of Alberta.

Cindy Laflèche married Maurice and they had their first child, a daughter, in 1988.

Scope and content

The collection consists of photographs of Provincial Archives of Alberta facilities and staff.

The slides were used in Government of Alberta training on the Provincial Archives and were accompanied by a script and guide to be used by an instructor during the slide presentation. They depict staff and procedures at the Provincial Archives of Alberta and are accompanied by a textual record providing clear context of their use and what they depict

The slides and accompanying material were donated to the Provincial Archives of Alberta by Cindy Laflèche of Safron Consulting. The other records come from various donations and transfers to the Archives.
