            The series consists of company newsletters and magazines produced by ATCO and its predecessors for employees and includes departmental reports, district news from around Alberta, employee spotlights and special interest articles.

            The series is primarily made up of ,The Courier newsletter (Northwestern Utilities Ltd., 1927-1994) and Transmitter magazine (1957-1998). Transmitter was published by Canadian Utilities Ltd. (1957-June 1962), then Canadian Utilities Ltd. and Northland Utilities Ltd. (July 1962-1971), then Alberta Power Ltd. and Northland Utilities Ltd. (January –August 1972), then Alberta Power Ltd. (September 1972-Winter 1994), and finally Alberta Power Ltd. as a subsidiary of ATCO (Spring 1995 onward). The series also includes the Newsline, News in View and Spotlite newsletters. (Northwestern Utilities Ltd.).**
